Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you register, such as your name and email address. Your password is stored in encrypted form and is never accessible in plain text. We also collect content you upload to the platform: menu images, dish data, prices, descriptions, and categories. Additionally, we record usage data such as pages visited, actions performed, and frequency of use, as well as technical data such as browser type, operating system, IP address, and device type.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to operate and maintain the service, process menu images using artificial intelligence, generate and serve digital menus with QR codes, and send you service-related communications such as confirmations and updates. We also use them to improve the platform, analyze usage trends, and prevent fraud or ensure the security of the service. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

3. Artificial intelligence processing

When you upload a menu image, it is sent to Google's servers to be processed by the Google Gemini artificial intelligence model. This processing allows automatic extraction of dishes, prices, descriptions, and categories from your menu. Images are not permanently stored on our servers after processing. Google may process this data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We recommend not including sensitive personal information in the images you upload.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use session cookies necessary for authentication and the operation of the service, as well as preference cookies to remember your language and settings. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking, or tracking technologies for marketing purposes.

5. Sharing data with third parties

We share data with the following types of providers, exclusively to operate the service: artificial intelligence providers (Google) for menu image processing, and infrastructure providers for hosting and database services. We may disclose personal information if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

6. Data retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account remains active. Menu content (dishes, prices, categories) is retained while your account is active. Original menu images are deleted after AI processing. Usage data is retained for a maximum period of 12 months. After your account is deleted, all associated data is removed within 30 days.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Passwords are encrypted with bcrypt. All communications between your browser and our servers are encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel. We perform continuous security monitoring. While we take reasonable measures, no system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, rectify incorrect or incomplete data, delete your account and all associated data, and export your data in a standard format. You can exercise these rights from your dashboard or by contacting us at info@eatake.com.

9. Minors

Eatake is a service aimed at hospitality businesses and is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. We do not intentionally collect personal data from minors. If we discover that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through a notice on the platform. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Contact
